Advent Video Series on God’s Promises
I hope you’ve all enjoyed your Christmas day! Here at our house we’re knee deep into our lego sets and puzzles, and I’m already dipping into my coffee loot. But what did you expect?
Despite feeling a bit under the weather, I’ve truly been savoring a week untethered to the routine of school schedules, deadlines and regular plans.
I realized today that for me… the space where I rest is often where I find EXCITEMENT rekindled where passions were burning low and creativity flowing where I previously thought they might be dammed up for life.
In that vein, I’m busy dreaming about what collaborations and adventures this blog will burst with in 2019. I can’t wait to share my updates with all of you and let you know how you can be involved here at LesstobeMore this year.
In the meantime, you may have noticed I haven’t been blogging a whole lot. Part of that is my journey to discover what this space is all about and find fresh inspiration after my major book milestone this year. (Whew…that kind of sapped the creativity for awhile!)
But I’ve also been busy posting an advent VIDEO series on my facebook page, and wanted to make that easily accessible to all of you here. It’s an intro video followed by 4 videos related to the promises of God and our response.
I didn’t quite make the 5 minutes or less videos I hoped for, but close enough. (I’ll have to make “short and sweet” and New Year’s Goal!)
But I hope you’ll be encouraged in these videos to:
- Learn a fun tool for studying God’s word (and learn how my study of the word “promise” began!)
- Believe that God DOES want to speak to us
- Learn to trust when He speaks
- Obey/ Step BOLDLY into God’s promises
- Persevere in seasons of waiting on God’s promises to unfold
- Know some promises that God clearly gives all believers
- Embrace the weight of what God’s promises mean for us (Even when we’re still waiting on answers.)
